  1. Hi Daniel, please introduce yourself and the Quuu Promote team…

My name is Daniel Kempe, I am the co-founder and CEO. I launched Quuu Promote in 2015 with my co-founder, and COO, Matthew Spur.

Over the last 3-4 years, we have hired a great team:-

    • Lucia Fontaina, our newly appointed Marketing Director who oversees our marketing strategy.
    • Then there is Amy Murnan and Georgia Burgoyne, who make up our content team.
    • And, last year we added Peter Day and Nathan Langer to the team as developers who have already built and launched Quuu 4.0!

We’re all really excited for the amazing things we’re all going to build in 2019 and how we’re going to improve and expand Quuu Promote for our users.

  1. How would you describe Quuu Promote?

Put simply, Quuu Promote is a great way to promote your content to real and relevant people across Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, simultaneously.

Promoted content doesn’t appear like an advert or sponsored post – it’s shared naturally by real people to relevant followers.

This increases your social/brand engagement, generates discussions which in-turn will grow your social following and help boost SEO with more mentions and backlinks.

  1. Tell me about the seed of the idea. What does Quuu Promote try to do that others don’t?

It first all started with Quuu. Matt and I wanted to save time and find reliable content to post to our following, but we wanted a way to always trust what was being shared. So we created a set of rules that ensure content in Quuu is always the very best.

Quuu Promote as an app came about as a result of those guidelines. We could apply these rules to any and all pieces of content, so why not open it up to submissions.

It’s a unique tool because we’re the only tool to really focus on the human element of content promotion.

All submission are read and reviewed by our content team which ensures that all of the posts that we promote are shared in a more authentic way than ads and sponsored posts. Which is something no other tool does.

Quuu Promote works with its sister site Quuu. The former feeding the other interesting content for its users to share on social media.

  1. Why do you think content marketing is such an important skill for the modern marketer to master?

As most people know content marketing is the best and most efficient way to connect with your audience, create brand awareness and build trust.

Content Marketing helps you to connect with and educate your leads and turn them into customers. So if you create high-quality content that serves your audience, and promote it well, it’s going to be popular and do all the hard work for you!

  2. Are there any features within Quuu Promote that you are particularly proud of?

I think we’ve really streamlined the submission process. Pretty much within a day a submitted post will be reviewed and promoted, or you’ll receive detailed feedback from our content team with ways to meet our criteria for approval.

We’re also been focusing on Quuu a lot at the moment – we’ve recently launched Quuu 4.0 which you should all check out – as we really want to increase the number of engaged users who want to share our hand-curated suggestions. This increases the number, and quality, of shares that each piece of content gets.

"Content Marketing helps you to connect with and educate your leads and turn them into customers. So if you create high-quality content that serves your audience, and promote it well, it’s going to be popular and do all the hard work for you!"

  1. Do you have any advice for people wanting to build their own marketing tool?

One of the things that we were known for early on was our focus on building a community of users. We got our first 100 customers through successful Product Hunt launches and networking in various slack channels.

Our Quuurators (a unique group of some of the most successful marketers like Neil Patel and Aaron Orendorrf) have been providing helpful insights and advice since the beginning.

Focussing on community building makes users feel part of something bigger and like they should help spread the word about the product to friends and colleagues.

Since the beginning, we’ve relied upon word-of-mouth referrals, and our own service (Quuu Promote), to drive traffic and signups. So creating an engaged community is key.

Also, things won’t always go the way you expect them to, but if you are agile and adapt to the circumstances you’ll prosper.
